Trading at events

  1. I'm wondering if anyone could advise me about the typical cost of paying to go to an event as a trader. Are all the events pretty much the same cost or do they vary widely, and roughly how much does it cost? Thanks.

  2. Not sure about VW events - but I imagine it's fairly different across the shows depending on the footfall and size of the pitch they offer

  3. They vary quite widely.

For example, VW North West (Tatton) is £40 for a single pitch and then an extra £20 per extra pitch. We normally have a double so we pay £60. (10 m x 10m)

VW Festival (Harewood House) it used to be £10 per meter but now its £20 per meter because they've added an extra day to the show.

    Busfest is £260 for a double plot outside. (10m x 15m)

Stanford Hall costs us £120 for a double plot (or £180 if we end up paying later than the 'early booking' date).

Paid £30 for a tiny little show (single plot) in Lincoln in March and was rushed off my feet all day with customers!

Its swings, roundabouts and a few slides  ;D

  5. Probably because of the size of the show. To be absolutely honest, I don't think it's too staggering a price. I've booked 8m at VW Festival so that's cost us £160 and it's nowhere near as big as Vanfest. If I'd booked 10m there it would have cost me £200. The 8m we booked at Camper Jam was £165 (even though we used 5m as it turned out but thats not anyones fault).

These prices are all very reasonable compared to some of the other shows we've considered doing. Volksworld was sooooooo much more, we couldn't even contemplate trading there!!!
