Tracing my bus history...

I've just found a (very) small link to my crewcab and its former life. The number plate bolted to the back states its from the Free State Province of South Africa. I just went to fit my new petrol cap off @vwed and saw a painted over sticker. When I scratched the paint off the sticker is for Stellenbosch Auto which is actually in the far south west of South Africa, close to Cape Town.

Does anyone know any way of tracing a vehicle history in South Afica - @NTO is it possible to do this? If so do you think you could help point me to any government or regional website?

  2. I've been interested in doing the same for mine I've got a copy of the docs and reg number from california.

  3. Been to Stellenbosch and its full of small car dealers and garages, wouldn't be surprised if Stellenbosch Auto still exists!! Will ask a mate who lives about 5 miles away to look...

  4. I just tried to Google Stellenbosch Auto, and what came up was Stellenbosch Auto clinic (est 2002) so thats not it.
There is also StellenboschVW, they might have an idea about other vw dealers in the town.
