  5. Seems like I'm going backwards with endfeed, bit solder ring is better? But does that tiny gsp mean itll leak?[IMG]

To give you an idea of what you are aiming for. This is a 22mm elbow I just soldered.

To be fair it’s still not perfect but it’s about as good as mine gets!!!!

  7. Think I've cracked it,?

  8. Tip : don't ever use the words " cracked it " when your telling someone about your plumbing work

  10. Another tip for soldering straight couplings like the one you’ve posted is, you don’t need to solder the bottom. Just feed in a little at a time from the top and when you see it appear at the bottom that’s all the fitting needs.

  11. So you’ve mastered end feeds.
Now on to pipe bending. :chewie:

  12. Blimey - a plumbers willy waving thread !

  13. Surely you mean a plumbers arse crack waving thread.....

  14. Their arse cracks are left exposed because they use them to bend copper pipe - saves going to the van to fetch the bending spring.

  15. This is a timely learning curve for me, my next job was confirmed today - a full bathroom refit with plenty of pipe rerouting:D

  16. can i have the waste copper please! im doing my bit for the environment.

  17. Don’t forget the steel bathtub!

  19. Bit the bullet and went for it. (Was pretty nervous about this...)
None of it's particularly pretty but tbh neither are some of the existing joints.

    Tee reducer into the flow
Didn't work the first time, I realised there was still some dregs of water dripping towards my joint so sucked the pipe dry wiv enry oover, had another go and bingo
    [IMG]

For the return there wasn't much to play with so have raised the magnaclean up a couple of inches to allow me to fit tee reducer in before it
    [IMG]

Then removed the corresponding amount of pipe and rejoined before boiler, took a couple of attempts as struggled to fill a tiny section at rear of join

    Fingers crossed for no leaks....
