Once upon a time, a long time ago (well, actually, back in 1991 in Sweden), a Storytelling Day was held. The ethos behind this event caught on around the globe, and now we celebrate World Storytelling Day on an international level. The aim of World Storytelling Day is to celebrate the art of oral storytelling, with as many people as possible around the world telling and listening to stories in their own languages on the same day. People taking part can link up with others around the globe who are also contributing – making it a truly international festival that creates new friends and promotes positive understanding of cultures around the world. I think my farmer mate wins the prize locally. He managed to get the tractor bogged in the only 4 square metres of the farm that isn't currently bone dry. Said he'd never seen the bog before. As his Dad pointed out, he's only lived there for 46 years so it's possible he never noticed it before, despite the fact that it never actually dries out and has been feeding the dam for all those years.
A day for my daughter Holly, she loves writing stories, at the moment they seem to be all about unicorns and puppies, every night she reads a chapter to my wife and I, oh the joys of parenting
As you know I’ve done the whole parent thing many times but I must admit I’m enjoying it this time round,
