No I don't either -in my day it was servicemen who had them on their forerms. I think I grew out of the desire to cover myself in pictures when I was about 10 and had transfers on my hands and arms - which I would wash off when I got fed up of them . But if people want to have one then good luck to them - my daughter in law has one somewhere - but she won't show me! What really annoys me is When someone has one in a highly visible place - like on their face - and then complain when they can't get a job and blame the employers. That's my Victor Meldrew rant over for the day!
I wanted a Haida thunderbird, or some other nice design. This was on my internet searches. It had a sort of flame around it but the tattooist said she wasn't putting it on as was in a place not big enough. She was v bossy!!
Tats are a subject sure to divide opinion ... some of the sailors that worked for me had some weird tats but then it was the late 80s early 90s.
You may be right in the fact that when my dad died,I had a tattoo of him which made me feel like he will always be with me. Inside,I Was not happy.I was happy getting the other 12 tats though. So you may be just a little bit right.
I knew I shouldn't have bloody gone to Germany for it! Lost in blooming translation, wanted the green flying one and ended up with a bird!!
Can't really agree with that dubs. Do people who go to great lengths to buy fashionable clothes to wear not feel happy about their inside? Tattoos, like clothes, are just a way of expressing yourself. Nowt wrong with that imho.
I don't think anyone 'needs' them, although I'm told they're addictive. I think it's all a matter of personal taste and individual character. Each to his own. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
a strange analogy given you can change your clothes and their style whereas a tat is permanent. imagine in your fifties in the year 2017 having to wear a brown 1970s suit or punk rock zipped trousers.
I still wear some clothes that I had in the 80's. The baggy ones, though they're a bit tighter nowadays
Fair comment but if you are willing to get a tat for life, you are probably less screwed up than someone who is so insecure that thay have to sheepishly follow the latest fads and trends for fear of being lampooned or ostracised by society.
