Today is No Smoking Day

If you or someone you know smoke cigarettes, you know that it is a very difficult thing to deal with. Cigarettes are highly addictive and harmful to the person who smokes then as well as the people around them. No Smoking Day aims to bring awareness to the dangers of this addiction. The day also tries to spotlight resources available to help people decide to try and quit.

Me n Mrs Tatty both gave up many years ago. Glad we did, but we both still miss them from time to time, for example if we see someone lighting up on telly, or if someone walks past us smoking a lovely fag

 

As it’s no smoking day,I’ll make some space cakes later

 

Ooh, sounds lovely. Could you make us a batch I can give to my mum in law for her church coffee mornings please? The grannies do like their cakes

 

Just over a year since I stopped. Still think about it now and again, and I think that'll never go away. The old man hasn't smoked for nigh on 40 years and says it still comes and go's on the odd occasion!

 

Seven years today since my brother died of lung cancer.

 

Ok, tell them they should have no more than 1/2 each or they will be on the munchies all night

 

3 years since I gave up smoking.
Glad I did...

 

14 years of no tobacco and paper products.

 

5 years clean here... still hanker after a roll up most days, and enjoy standing near smokers. (proper smokers that is.. none of this chugging away on a strawberry trifle in an inhaler..)

 

I loved the Andie Capp cartoons - fortunately I never succumbed to the filthy smoking habit - everyone at college in the 60s seemed to think I was weird not smoking ( well I was weird but not due to non-smoking!)

 

when I was at college in the 60's (this is now Oxford Brookes University) you could smoke in the lessons.

 

didn't start until I was about 21 in the Army stopped New Years Eve 80/81 haven't had a fag or cigar since, I don't mind people smoking around me except when i am eating or the blow it my way, I do tell them not to.
I was surprised in Germany recently when I came across smoking bars in Lubeck but they had almost an industrial sized extraction system installed.
the main thing I have against smokers is that they leave all of the wrappings of the packet on the floor, the dog ends go on the floor the match to light it hits the deck and the empty packet gets nowhere near a bin.
Never mind the SMOKING KILLS advert on the pack it should also say DISPOSE OF YOUR LITTER IN THE CORRECT BINS

Not a smoker , prefer kippers . If they had tasted like strawberry icecream I might av . Sit in a shed n set fire it’s quicker n cheaper way to kill yourself
