I regularly call my windows laptop all sorts of names. I’ve recently had to fit a new screen to it after I was forced to give it a bit of education on who’s the boss in our relationship. I hate windows and this will be the last PC I will own. It’s Apple or a chrome book for me from now on.
Mine is also called Mac . Just a quick note on computer literacy. My last boss had lost something on her computer, and was on the phone to IT. I heard him say to her “it’s on your Desktop” she was looking all over the desk, moving papers and everything.

My 18 inch screen Windows laptop from 2010 is called Smaug. And the file server answers to www.hamble.online or host.hamble.online. And the games/streaming PC is called Picky after the nickname of one of our guinea pigs. The other four or five old laptops I cant remember their names.
Lots of inanimate objects have names. Ships, railway engines, campervans, stars, biscuits, paint colours, the list is endless! My laptop is called "The Laptop" and my tablet is called "My Tablet ".
