  1. Bin married for 18 happily for 2 sorry i jest.

How long have you bin married? And you can't add them together.

Do you think that being married for so long is a thing of the past.

Is it to easy to chuck it in if things get messy

  3. congrats mate!

we live in a disposable society unfortunately, from clothes, cars and in a lot of cases relationships, some people just dont put in the effort and make things fresh from time to time, thats maybe why previous generations last longer than current generations, they commited and they stuck to it, todays society suggests that if youre not happy you cut n run straight away, without trying maybe as hard as our elders,

I dont know, just my opinion i guess.

    B :D

  10. Congratulations to all you guys!

I am not married so I can't really say from personal experience but I know my Nan was married for 60 years and I don't think hers was particularly happy. I know it's harsh on my Gramps to say but I feel bad for her, you only get one life but because it was taboo in her time to separate she stuck with it and perhaps didn't have the life she deserved ....... then again if she hadn't stuck at it then I wouldn't be here!!

Sorry I know that's probably quite contraversial!!

wife and i were discussing our respective grandmothers the other morning, both of whom lost their husbands, our grandads quite young, but neither of them re married. my grandma lost her husband at 54 then went on to live till she was 95 so spent more of her life alone!
my wife said to me"if I were to die tomorrow I hope you wouldn't spend the rest of your life alone"
I replied "Darling,if you died tomorrow I wouldn't spend the rest of this week alone"
    she laughed,a lot!!
22 years for us this year:(
