Find a sunny, public open place, and join in with Kite Flying Day! Take a picnic to the park and get competitive, seeing who can fly the highest, the fastest, and the most intricately!

I have a selection of kites, from 8ft stunt kites to 3m flexifoil. Serious stuff

 

And as if by magic a post appears!


I probably won't get time today, but I see Red Kites all the time around here. I'll have to make do with that.

I want to build a box kite in the shape of a late bay.
I thought the framework could be made out of carbon fibre arrow shafts, I think the seconds would be okay. Any tips Bern?

 

I miss seeing the red kites when I drove daily to reading and beyond.

 

No you don't want the leave the tips on the the arrow shaft it could be dangerous.

 

I think a wedge would work better ......
