Whether you’re a fluff chucking river man, a deep-sea deckhand, or a float fanatic in lakes and ponds, Go Fishing Day is the perfect excuse we’ve all been looking for to take a day off and get our lines wet.

I'm angling for some nice puns here ;)

  3. Shall be wafting some fluff on the River Wharfe tonight. The Mayfly are hatching and ' Duffers Fortnight ' is well underway.
If not too hungover on sunday will be going lure fishing for bass around Whitby, they re late getting up here and the seas been coloured, so could well be a blank.

There's something fishy about this day.
Another couple of months before it's time for trout season down here.

Heading to Whitby tomorrow until Saturday. Planning to interact with some fish, but more in an eating kind of way :)

  11. Gonna have to get Down Under. The size of brown trout coming out of Taz the mo. I think its the river that runs through Hobart; 30lb+ maybe even 40lb. Monster!

The lakes in the north are much better, but difficult to get to. Usually you charter a chopper to fly you into a fishing lodge for a week or ten days. A few mates & I are awaiting permission from the various Keepers of The Household Budget to allow us to do this.

the chorus sticks in your head forever....

  15. Do you have any contact details for the above. Mrs Pony is going on about a winter holiday ;)
Probably a bit pricey at the mo, but a few days trekking, and a mozzy infested, Deliverance style epic sounds fun. Will give the squealing like a pig bit a miss
