Correct - anybody who wants to be a politician shouldn't be allowed to stand - and certainly no full time politicians - should have to have had a career/job (not in politics) for at least 10 years first - but that would be too much like common sense.

I think Baby Boomers were the last generation with a decent amount of common sense.

 

That's because we were brought up by people who had to fight for their country!
