Today is Cartoonists Day

Cartoonists Day celebrates the anniversary of the publishing of the first ever colour cartoon, The Yellow Kid in 1895. Now cartoons are a core component of many newspapers, publications and printed media, and have had (and continue to have) a huge impact on our culture.


Looks a bit dated now.....

Wacky races use to be my fave

 

Yeah loved Snoopy ,had a snoopy as a child ,had the flying suit ,track suit and tuxedo

 

Plus all my teachers spoke like they did in the cartoon.

 

Rocky & Bullwinkle was a favourite as was The Bugs Bunny Show, especially any of them with Foghorn Leghorn or Peppy Le Pew
