Tiny bit of oil around edge of Pistons. Should I be worried?

Just changing the pushrods and the listing have a tiny bit of oil around the edges.

Heads are dry as a bone. Should I be worried or shall I just wack the heads back on and have a brew as intended?

 

Have a brew... I wouldn't be overly concerned

 

What I was hoping, the Yorkshire brew is stewing in the pot as we speak

 

Did you take the heads off purely to change the pushrods or were you doing something else as well?

 

@pkrboo Well in doing a general engine oil leak fix overhaul but all the tubes were knackered but there all changed now

 

Ah ok, cos you know you can do tubes and rods with the heads on

the pushrod tubes and seals on a type 1 are compressed by torqueing the heads down....you could use springloaded tubes or adjustables but they're carp unless you spend £££s on good ones....OK as a spare i guess
