1200 gearbox, new input shaft seal and thrust bearing fitted, there is some float on the input shaft but it settles about 3mm off centre of the new thrust bearing, appears to be no play in the linkage or forks and no way to adjust it, I wonder if it will centre on the flywheel when I fit the engine?
Maybe. The input shafts do wobble about a bit if not supported in the flywheel, as you know. Has the thrust bearing got any kind of guide it runs on?
