Throttle Conection Cable

  1. Can anyone help?
Looking for some pictures so I can work out how the throttle cable is connected at the drivers end and how the outer cable is secured.
My cable has a Z shape at the end and it looks a bit flimsy going into the metal section that pulls/ pushes it.
    Any pics would help
    Thanks
    Marc

  2. The "Z" should just hook into a hole in the arm from the accelerator pedal. The tension of the cable holds it in place, if it's properly clamped at the carb end. There isn't an outer cable.

  3. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

From pedal into conduit under cargo floor, then into a flexible outer at the back over the gearbox as far as the tin.

  4. thanks

  6. Marc have a look at this link http://thelatebay.com/index.php?topic=3425.80
about half way down on "Lazyandys" have you got the spring that
goes from the carb link arm to almost the engine lid. If not this may
be a cause to your problem ;)
