Throttle cable extending....

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by The Bobdogs, Nov 1, 2014.

  1. Fitted my twin Kadrons today and the throttle cable is about two inches too short to connect to the linkage....managed to bodge it for the time being with some 30a 'choc block' and a bit of earthing wire.....thinking there must be a better way of doing this, but a search on fleabay for cable jointing doesn't do much....
Has anyone else done this? What did you use?
    Cheers chaps!

  2. Buy a new throttle cable.
You can lube it up when you fit it and it'll make a good difference too.

  3. Or speedy cables will make you a longer one

    The Bobdogs likes this.
  4. They shortened both my handbrake cables ...

  5. New cable It is then...!
