Fitted my centre belly pan today and was pleased to find all the original fixed nuts still in position and in good order.
Then I chopped a chunk out of the heater pipe and almost jammed in a fan that will probably melt.

    And bled the brakes, again.

  3. What diameter fan?

  4. does the fan have any heating elements in it? Looks like that would help a lot getting the air up front.

Very nice if you like that kind of thing, but I don't. :)

I thought it wise to blow out the main heater ducting before I fit that flimsy fan properly. The main pipe is lagged with the original lagging in good order but who knows what might lurk inside.
I got a full size air hose on full power from end to end and this is all that came out. ...that could have been half a bucket of rust flakes. Glad I did though, those old bits of hose could have jammed up the fan.

    I don't have enough drawers.
I need somewhere to put bits and bobs really.
I've ordered more wood and 2 pairs of drawer runners.
I'm glad I haven't faced clearing up the mess the router makes yet. :D

Where are the drawers going? Have you gone for heavy duty drawer runners with ball bearings? They cost a bit more but are definately worth it

Oh yes, soft close full extension ball bearing yadda yadda. 40KG. :)
Rock and roll bed, two bigguns in the middle. 1x 150mm deep, 1x 75 deep above, 5-600mm wide. That will also compartmentalise the space under the bed a bit which is no bad thing.

I like the idea of drawers under the bed. It should make it much easier to retrieve stuff.

I like the idea more than I'm looking forward to making them. It'll give me something to do though...

My full version of AutoCad has sprung back to life despite not managing to transfer the licence so I can draw 3D again. I should think so too, I paid £thousands for it! I expect US limit the amount of time products can be licenced or somesuch and it's 10 years old which might tie in.

It's a good job your auto ad works, if you worked like me with a pencil you'd need to work out a way of sharpening it with a router.

I'd have to calculate things more like - that's what I like avoiding. I can make it as assembled parts on the screen then dimension them automatically. With the dimensions that come with runners nowadays I could dimension and pilot drill all the fixing holes too before I assemble it and technically it would all work out with even gaps round the drawers. It won't though. lol.
