This morning

I have baked a loaf of bread by hand from scratch. Made 2 beef stews, one with carrot one without, (for those who don’t like it) & made 8 suet dumplings for tea tonight! Mmmmmm smells ace in my kitchen. What ya cooking?

Bread turned out nice.....

 

Have moments ago taken a loaf out of the bread maker ... so were have the fresh baked bread aroma as well. Just put some dried fruit on soak in some tea and rum to make a tea loaf ... easy fruit cake

 

Just had new tyres put on the back wheels of the bus (one failed on the drive over Xmas ( perished valve!) and washed it to get the green algae off the roof - now for some home made veggie soup for lunch

 

I made one beef stew, no bread but will do dumplings later

 

That looks really good. By why is there a bowl of pickled onions sitting on top?

Before the election nobody ever made bread in Sedgefield, now you can buy a bread maker for miles

 

The only thing made this morning was a trip to Dinas Powys to collect a couple of bedside tables for our holiday let .... The lamp is a "rustic IKEA hack made last week

 

Where abouts in Dinas Powys? I’m sat in my daughters house there now, having done the daily school run

 

Those are my dumplings! Home made pickles have all but gone... there’s about 5 left from four large jars eaten over the festive period... I will have a couple with my tea.... can’t wait!
