This is what I have at the moment and there is a hole on the side of the round cap where a short pipe should be. Does anyone have one of these with the little pipe that they would sell?
That is the picture of the part. Inside is a flap which takes in either cold or warm air for when the engine first starts. The bit broken off of mine is a little moulded tube coming off of the side of the round section which one of the vacuum pipes fits onto. On some older cars the air intake had a summer or winter position and this does the same job but automatically, or it would if my pipe hadn't been broken.
I'm sure I've not got anything connected to mine? Has anybody got a picture of how it should be connected?
Go buy a chuppa chup lolly, enjoy eating it for a few minutes, then stick the lolly stick in the hole with some glue around it. Cut to length if required then attach a vacuum hose
As I haven't heard from monkey Harris I'm going to mac Donald's to get a mac balloon on a mac stick. Joker should I take the balloon off the stick first?
Look what I was given by @Keith.H . Thank you very much mate. Now I'm not one for playing the blame game but his intake arrived at my house on the same day as my engine dropped a valve. I'm not suggesting for a second that Keith did it deliberately, all I can say is that my engine was running perfectly before his intake arrived and before I'd even opened the parcel my engine was knackered. I'll leave it up to the readers to decide whether this was inadvertent sabotage or a deliberate malicious attack.
Oh **** the pins have dropped out, i spent ages sticking them in! and i had to do a weird little dance
