  1. Hi guys I'm thinking of moving my bus on and getting something else. I was after some advice on what kind of price I should put on it if I chose to sell? I'm not a big fan of eBay so I'm after a price that you would sell it for if it was yours? Abit of info It's a 72 westie. Engine rebuilt new crack pistons ect. 12 months mot. As I say I'm NOT selling yet just after advice. Thanks [IMG][IMG]

Sorry but how do you expect to get serious advice from such limited information?

  4. Is it a Westy ?

I thought westies were all 'window ' buses not made from panel vans but the tags will show one way or other ....

Very difficult to price on two pics but I'd say 6-12

  5. I'm not asking for an exact price I just don't want to say x amount being under or asking to much. I don't see point putting loads and loads of pictures on it's just a ruff estimate of it was yours it's not a show winner yes but a useable bus that's very reliable and would have a 12 month ticket.

It's not a Westie is it?
    From the information given, £5k - £20k

  8. Your miles out ....

    Between 500 and 40k

  9. Those photos do not do it any justice at all...... or maybe they do. Has it been hand painted with primer ? The lines around the windscreen look suspiciously like there's a load of filler in there......

To me from those photos alone and without further info it looks like it may be hiding all sorts of nastyness.

  10. I'm a newbie.

How do you tell it's a panel van conversion?
Does it actually matter? Obviously you don't wanna pay a westie premium for a non westie, but if it's a decent conversion does it matter?

Didn't Devon convert panel vans at the factory?

Best thing look at other classifieds for other similar buses. Will give you a rough idea.

Look at the windows. They look stuck on rather than recessed into the panel.
Yes, Devon converted them from new.
They're not "worth" as much as microbus conversions; I guess because they don't look as nice.

Might be worth getting someone off here who is close to where you are to look it over. Someone who already has a bus knows their way round them and could give you an impartial idea of what it might be worth, or if not just what it needs doing to make it more sellable.

Well that's good because you're not going to get even a close estimate from 2pictures of the outside and not even saying what engine it's got.
I don't see the point of bothering to guess without more info and at least one photo of the inside, underneath and engine bay!
    I'm out

  16. I'd guess it was a UK bus, could be a right Marmiteter underneath who knows.

  17. MOT History check of the bus shows its colour as B eige and it appears to have had lots of work done!
