As the marobaby has not yet arrived Katie and I made a last minute decision to pop up to Summer Dubbin' today - run by the Sussex VW owners club. It was brilliant weather - maybe too hot - but nice to be out in the van. We arrived to find Birdy reorganising body parts food in his cool box. He entered the rag top in the show and shine. We then went on a brief walk to look at a few stalls. We then found a tortoise. And a new kind of 'social network' of tents calls GigWam. These guys will be on Dragon's Den soon. Don't know if they got funding tho ... But Stu was very excited and decided he was IN. We examined the underside of an earlier Bay window VW. Then Ian & Cathie arrived. So we went for a coffee. It was then time to have a look at some of the line ups for show and shine. Bugs Bay Windows Lone T25 S p l i t screens Golfs Beach Buggies 340/danmarowak/Summer%20Dubbin%20-%20SVWOC%202012%20Festival/fc2a85ac.jpg" /> Then a bit more of a walk around - with a few other cool vehicles Including Karl's T2 & Bug Love this van Katie then won a dog (called Lucky) on the tumbola. and Ian & Cathies Dog took a dislike to it We also saw a real like Ewok I had a beer. And these guys tried to light a BBQ ... but it was just smoke. And I also bumped into the guy who took the photo of Pinky with the 2 split screens from brighton Breeze - so he gave me my prints for free. Including this little magnet - so now whilst in the van I am reminded that it's pink. and running with that pink theme - here are a few other Pink vehicles. And what is - dare I saw - the pinkest thing van I have ever seen. So all in all - a really nice day out - good company - nice little show and no doubt the last day Katie & I have out together before becoming parents! Blimey ....

It was a nice show. And can I just say I was the first Golf to arrive. It was the others that decided to park the other way.
We're at summer dubbin at the moment. Really nice, laid back show. Not the biggest but we've met and chatted with some really nice people ..... especially a couple selling (among other things) Peruvian made kids clothing. We also had the most fantastic pizza cooked by in a wood fired oven (forno al Legna!) inside a van. Highly recommended if you see them at another show .... Think it's called the pizza oven (or something like that). Very authentic Italian style thin base. Will be up fairly early and hoping to get to beach buggin tomorrow .... rude not to seeing as we live in Southsea!
Great pics dan,we wanted to get to this one but betty had booked a long weekend and wanted to take her son grandson away to chill so we opted for the full frid sat sunday camp out in sandwich instead. Was good last year but much smaller venue, was their many their?? Looks like you had a nice day, like the van pics ,was that dave ?neds photographer that took them, he has a crew cab maroon splitty, top guy if it was. Good luck with squeak hope alls ok Barney

Hi there, yes, that was me & my sis, & Betsy. You never stayed over Saturday night at the chill 'n' grill. Maybe we would of spoken if you had. We had a good time there. We're novices at all this, so we're just finding our feet. Hopefully next year we'll go to alot more meets & possibly bump into you again. We were well happy with Betsy's new artwork. Much more individual than a sticker. We only had it done because we were impressed with Jasper's one. Hope we see you out & about next year.
We stayed Friday night but yes we left Saturday afternoon, We saw that they forecast heavy rain/ thunder Sunday morning and I have already been towed out of 2 muddy fields this year and didn't fancy a 3rd ;D We're also novices, we only got Jasper in January, we were also at the Hickstead showground show as well but again hope to get to a few more next year, we are going to Brighton Breeze but as we are local Jasper will be staying at home.
