It's not 4 years....the home nations play the World Series individually up until end of last year, then England (who fund more players) split into two teams and they have various home nation players in each....they have to qualify for the olumpics this way. The women's team were only chosen July 19th, they had since then to fully prep. It's not the whole excuse, but is significant.
