The latest addition.

Just realised since owning the bay (3.5 years) i'm on my 5th car! i get bored easy!
Got a Golf today mk4 one owner from new Tdi 100 brake se.

 

Always liked the mk4. I've had a mk1 jetta and 3 mk2's. Watch for rust on the middle of the front wheel arch. I've heard its to do with a bit of sponge behind the arch liner.

 

yeah the bora had that, this has a bit on the tailgate round the lock handle but arches are good

 

Very nice, lock handle rust is standard, its cos the handle is aluminium and the boot is steel so it causes some sort of reaction

 

So that's what mine looks like under the dust.

 

Tidy looking motor. I'm not a big fan of Golfs but for no obvious reason I quite like mk4s.
My dad drives a very nice black mk4 GTi.

my bora was a 130 brake 6 speed - best mpg i got was 58 on a run at 70mph, golf is 100 brake 5 speed - i got 62 mpg coming back from derbyshire today.

 

I thought a 52 plate would be PD and six speed

 

I have been driving since 1997 and in that whole time (excluding the bay) I have owned 5 cars, including the one I have at the moment.

 

different engine, the bora was pd engine 6 speed and a 51 plate 2001 the golf an AD engine 2003

 

i'vebeen driving since 87 i've had over 60.

 

I just buy the right one in the first place.

Actually most of the time it has been because I had to borrow money to buy them, and I didn't want to get rid of them until the loan was paid off. And most of the time it has been 60 month personal loans.

There's a serious amount of wood there. Although I think wood panelling the fridge freezer might have been a step too far.......

 

Nice motor, I could do with one , New job is in stafford 40 miles away. Need something better than a mazda on fuel.
