Since a few members are a little stressed and 'out of sorts' I thought it was about time we had a fluffy, squidgy, yummy, feel good thread. ;D Anything posted in this thread must be positive, happy, inspiring or just makes you smile. A little like a forum hug! I would therefore like to send out an internet hug to any members who need one (BIG HUG) ;D ;D ;D
I was going to start off with "I just farted and wafted the covers and it made me smile" but instead I'll use, all packed up and ready to leave for RTTH and can't wait, it's sure to be a great weekend
yesterday, I had one of those moments that bought back happy warm memories. I was applying a touch of filler to a dent in my rear bumper and that smell just flooded me with memories of around ten years ago when we got our first van, our boys were 8 and 10 years, and we spent 3 long summers putting the van on the road, my lads would put on face masks and go at the van with wet and dry paper at the time it was nothing but hard work and seemed never ending. That lead me to think about our first trip away to Blackpool in November ;D we parked under the lights and at midnight they switched off and it was time to sleep. we drove all they way there and came back the long route putting some 700 miles on the clock without a hitch, we arrived home around 11pm and I caught the gate post :'( :-X . a big dig down the side of the van....the next morning I awoke to the sound of sanding my lads had gone out at first light armed with wet and dry sanding paper and started to fit the van on their own ;D They are grown up now, but still live at home whilst at uni and they both drive old retro dubs 8) This made me feel good so do share your softer side ;D
