The detectorists

The detectorists is back on TV with a new series the 3rd series .
For some reason it's on bbc 4 at 2200 tomorrow night (Wednesday) .
The 2 stars were on radio 4 at 7pm tonight talking about the series.
Great programme but on at a strange time and place .
Just discovered it is followed by the league of gentlemen . In for a good hours entertainment

 

Never seen it before but saw the trailer for this series the other day and have series linked it..

 

Try and get it from the start, worth it

 

I think I will try and get to see both series before getting into the 3rd mate

 

Bit of a slow burner but i really enjoyed it in the end - different

 

Like I said in the other thread, we saw the first episode when we were at the Edinburgh Fringe. Looking forward to it

 

So happy to see this come back. I thought they weren't doing any more.

I'd say it's rolls along, very easy to watch, interspersed with moments of pure comedy genius.

Saw the ad... Looked amusing...

 

"Just a minute...... I think I can get under that tape ." Should be a classic quote for years to come . And typical of the many little gems that litter the programme

 

Did you see if the previous two series were available... I looked and they came up in a search but were unavailable ..

 

You can buy them from BBC Commercial arm... but they’ll probably pop up again in iPlayer again.

Enjoyed this episode... I found myself looking in the mirror during the cheese bit and was a bit disappointed the Mrs wasn’t what hung it with me

 

Mackenzie Crook actually found the whistle in last night's episode whilst doing a bit of detecting.
