Glue makes it rigid and then it can break , what have the others said about why not ?

Maybe it’s needs a tad of movement to allow for a bit of twist could it creek thou ?

 

There has to be some movement
Yes the roof is fixed /screwed but not glued
Then sealed at edges with sealant
The aluminium roof sheet is not fixed or sealed to any rafters
Only fixing maybe around skylights
Which are sealed and screwed through
Aluminium Into wooden aperture

You can’t actually tell you have definitely fitted your level permanently from your pic as can’t see other end easy just cut slot and slide out
