Today I turned around the bolt that connects the clutch pedal as I finally got fed up with it hitting the steering arm on full lock and checked my wheel bolts as I was told to do so!

  3. Sat by river relaxing. Had a real nice chat with a man in his 80s telling us all about his split he had new in 1965 that cost a grand and how he toured Europe in it before selling for nothing. Hopefully he doesn't realise what they are worth now [IMG]

Having the bus out has given us the opportunity to try out a couple of additions to the kit.
Firstly the screen cover we recently bought from @Bertiebot. It's the business, being well made from quality materials and quick and simple to deploy. Thanks Phil, doubly so for dropping it off the other day

    Neat and tidy

    Well thought out detail

    Secondly the new fridge
I'll write this up on the Chipster thread later coz there are some interesting figures I've measured off the solar charge controller.

  14. I thought you would like the screen cover, they are way better than the internal fit stuff. The fridge looks interesting too. Is it a compressor one? I bought one of those Aldi cool boxes that are rebadged Waeco units and they are decent for the money but not proper fridges.

  18. just come in from measuring deck height which is coming out at 1.98,when calculation done that gives a ratio of 7.6....maybe low side. should i order .5mm shim and that would bring it to a ratio of 8.
    what do you think..

  19. Today I fitted the new front door window seals that I bought 12 months ago!

What a pig of a job, only because the clips in the new seals were rubbish - the old ones were kind of hooked wire, whereas the new ones were just little tabs of not very springy steel. Bit of a bodge to get them to stay put.

New seals keep water out though, so yay. Stuck the plastic sheet they came wrapped in on the door, as the PO had neglected to sheet the door, hence the saggy mouldy door cards.

Bouyed by this success I took the dash top of for a quick wire brush and paint, then bolted it back in. Great.

So pleased with progress I quickly put the drain hose in for the sink, and stabbed myself comprensively in the thumb with a screwdriver to celebrate..... ow.
