Might also try and fit my oil temp gauge / dipstick sender if anyone who knows what they're doing fancies giving me a bit of help. Got a 7 core cable from engine bay to dash, so shouldn't be too taxing, but clues as to what else I need wiring-wise would be appreciated.
(I shall also be watching @SkutterBob with interest if there is tackling of heater cables going on, as one of mine needs replacing )

Right, I've just noticed its September so I need to pull my finger out and order bits for my electrics job!
Are those strips of LEDs easy to fit? Ideally with a colour changer? For this I need LED strips, controller, 12volt wire. Anything else? Switches? Edit. Could I use this?
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Flexible-M...&sr=8-1&keywords=12 volt colour changing LEDs
How would that work if I wanted several seperate strips of ights. Would I need anything additional to "plug the in"?
2 sockets with back boxes. 240volt cable. Drill. Anyone got a jigsaw for cutting holes I could borrow please? I don't have one.
Various crimps / connectors etc. Did you say you could bring these @1973daisey?
Is there any particular 12v / 240v cable I should buy?
@the 3 crispies linked to a control box thing but I don't really want everything in the same place so do I need to buy switches for the leds too?
Apologies for the possibly stupid questions but I genuinely have no idea what I'm looking at!
    Thanks all

  18. I had a single white led strip controlled by one of these:-
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mi-Light-...hash=item43ead67251:m:mhRz_C3bXG3ueroYn5QNuTw
Select the option for 1 x rf controller + 4 strip control - great for turning on and off from your bed & also leaving it dimmed for a low level of light for the kids!

I also bought some of this:-
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Surface-m...890004?hash=item2ef34522d4:g:rgcAAOSwaB5XtvAK
Makes for a nice finish fella!

All you need to do is run 12v cable from your 12v fuse box connect to your leisure battery to the controller (I hid my controller in the head banger) then wire to the LED strip! I also bought a little plastic holder for the remove which was mounted near the sliding door for easy access when returning to the van in the dark & a bit of velcro in the back to stick it when I was in bed...

Edit - I have a jigsaw, let me know if you need it bringing however not sure how good the blades are though as not used it for a while!
