Techenders - 21st to 23rd April - Who's coming?

Wire from full beam to spotlight switch, wire from switch to relay, wire from relay to lights, live and neutral to relay

I understand every single one of your words, individually. It's when they're all put together like that I go a bit hazy.

What sort of relay do I need to get and how many different colours of wire should I buy?

Also, if I wire it like you said will the full beam still work whether the spots are on or not?

 

Full beam will still work as it is, if you turn spotlight switch on it will then operate the relay, that will then send the power to the lights. What watt bulbs are in the lights, I would think a standard 35amp jobee will do but am no electrician, I think 120w at 12volts is around 10 amps, they are probably only 55watts each so plenty

 

Ok I'll get a 35 amp relay. As far as I know the bulbs in the headlights are the same ones as Mr Volks Wagon fitted when he made it.

 

@1973daisey will possibly be able to assist, There was a post earlier on what 35 amp relay to buy but I cant remember where !

 

As Mick says bob get a 4pin relay cheap 35 amp ones from Halfords around £5 I'll bring the rest !! Is the oil temp gauge still going strong I fitted few years ago

Should be coming, waiting for j tubes as heat exchangers leaking.
Joe passed his test and is driving the beetle he had off Woody so he should be there in it as well.
If we make it I would appreciate it if @davidoft could give a hand with my ill fitting doors.
