    Anyone going who fancies giving me a hand with the 'non-engine-bay' fuel lines etc please? The ones in the engine bay have been done, but I have no idea where to start with the rest of the fuel system stuff and would appreciate a hand if possible. (Also an idea on what I need to bring to do it, apologies for being clueless)

    Take a bag full of bits you need to fit and don't fit them, to get in the full techenders experience ;)

    I did all of mine last time, with some assistance. ..
    You will just need to do the tank to pump to carb(s) plus a new filter if what you say is correct. However when you say that you have done the engine bay, have you done all of the breather pipe joins inc behind the fire wall? Also single or twin carbs?
    Easiest way to get everything is just ring VWH or JK and ask what's required n ignore what you have done to date?

    Single carb, new filter and fuel lines around it / carb done 2 months ago, but not breather pipes. Nothing around the tank, behind the fire wall etc done as far as I know (had a new carb and so mechanic did those bits for me at the same time) I'll give VWH a call and see what they say. Thanks. :)

    Brilliant!!! Could you poss drive onto the hard shoulder on the M5 and break your windscreen then call RAC out so that I could drive past you? That would make it really authentic :)

    Im all over that one but you may have to detour though as im grounded in the north west now for the latter part of the week looking after my mum. So not only can i not go to techenders, i cant go to BD either which was the reason i wasnt going to TE. Inwill however be close enough to the M66 to pop down, smash the screen and get towed back. Actually ...dont think i will bother.
