tax free homebrewing...

    heres a round up of stuff done.... not all drank by us tbh.....some's in long term storage,

    a cheeky one cooling in the peak district.. 8)

  5. Me too, I've been brewing cider from apples for many years, now I've drank all this years batches I've made some beer and cider from kits, the beer is ready and being drunk now and I am very pleased with the quality.
    I'm frustrated at the price and quality of pub/shop bought drinks, I dont seem to get a hangover from my homebrew so I conclude it's chemicals that cause that.
    So whats not to like? cheaper, better, and no hangovers. It doesn't take long to do, particularly if you use barrels instead of bottles for final storage.

    I think its "duty" free not tax free as you still have to pay VAT :)

    how did you your get apple wine red.. :eek:
    [im assuming you pressed the apples then soaked the pulp along with the skins...] :thinking:

    did it have a rose look to the finished wine..

  12. We have recently taken to brewing our own beer and wine.

    Have to say im well impressed, the rose' is loely and the Melbec is looking good so far.

    I will be bottling my brown ale this weekend, :chewie: :chewie: :chewie: :chewie:
