don't go for cheap. if you think it's expensive don't have one, good artists are worth finding, look in the show us your tattoos thread, i think one of the newer members is a tattooist? or pm someone like hailfrank he's got loads, i've got a few but nothing like that design.

What Ricky said about finding a decent artist.
As per the "show us yours" thread you see a lot more really bad tattoos than really good ones.

yep, i went to a place to have my ace frehley one and i wasn't happy, went somewhere more expensive for a bit of a tidy up on it and it probably ended up costing more than if i'd have gone expensive 1st, and i'm still not happy with it but it's there forever now. choose wisely.

  6. I agree with rickyrooo, Don't go cheap, unless its someone you know and you have seen there work! I pay around £60 per hour for mine which is mates rate as I know the tattooist. There are some places that charge double that.

  7. If you find a good tattoist they can usually draw you something up. Most of my favorite 's are ones he's drawn up himself. It also makes them unique to you.

  9. Its all down to size, details, colours ect. Best to find something you like and pop into a shop and ask.

Mrs TW had hers done in Camden market, she was suited and booted (dog collar ) on her way to a mental health conference with time to kill and says she found herself sitting in a tattoo chair next to an Aussie backpacker. I worried every time she had another conference after then.

My advice is to get a few mags just for ideas but a good tattooist will also suggest things. Don't get a small one or something you can't add too.
My only tattoo regret is that I should of waited to get sleeves to start with :)

  12. As a ball park figure I'd say £350-£400

  13. I pay £80 per hour for mine - bit more expensive than most bit the quality is excellent as is the aftercare and advice. That shoulder looks like a four/five hour job. You get what you pay for. Do you know anyone round your way who has had a decent tattoo locally?

  14. Between £60-£100 per hour is the norm. I know a few good artists in the Bath area Matty which is quite close to you. pm me if you need sone info. But tbh do some Internet searches I've travelled quite a bit to go to the right artist.
