My tailgate rear hatch is shot,Has anybody converted a prototype bay tailgate to fit a late bay ? Is it pos and how easy is it ?
Yes, i seen one, a guy i always speak to at the local shows done his, early on a late, he just welded nuts into some new holes in the right place (higher up the door i think because i could see one of the old holes below the hinge). I imagine its a ball ache finding out where though so the door gap is right, maybe a little room for error in the hinges holes? tailgates arnt that expensive though, are they? maybe not worth faffing about.
