Tailgate Seal

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by tburton100, Mar 9, 2022.

  1. I’m replacing the tailgate seal and sorting out the small patches of rust, it’s not too bad at all.

The old seal appeared to have once been glued in, is there a recommended glue for putting the replacement seal in with?

    thanks

If at all, maybe a smidge of contact glue on the top left and right corners. It is gripped by the groove it goes into.
If all your seals are stock and the channels havent rotted, the only place glue is needed is a section on the front edges of the front door seals.

  4. Thanks both, I’ll try without first.

    Thanks. Tony
