confusing - even everything with additional options such as petrol/diesel or 4MOTION or short/long (3.0/3.4 meter) etc First bus generation that is no longer exported to the USA due to a lack of approval. Transporter (simple version) Shuttle (exchanged later by Caravelle) Caravelle (simple bus version) Multivan (with rail system at the back for the seats) Mutlivan Comfortline (the entry Multivan) Multivan Highline Multivan Atlantis Multivan Business (top version) California (camping version) probably even more... Caution: some engine problems and expensive repairs due to limited installation space.
Mine was a was a caravelle with rails and options but I think the multi van is the same thing abroad.I was told It was officially a T32 you also had the T30 kombi and T28 shuttle. I’m not 100% sure this is the right perhaps @rsbadura knows. In my experience the T26/27/28/30 etc usually denotes weight in Germany! You had a basic option of 88 or 102 bhp in the early diesel models and more later I believe.
Ours is a T30 Kombi so has seating for 6 and the rear seat folds and tilts and can be completely removed if required. However there is no rail to put in additional seating. The maximum load weight is 3 tonne (hence the 'T30' I believe) and the engine is a 5 cylinder 2.5 litre diesel turbo producing 172bhp. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
