They've shamelessly nicked the techenders idea (where everything is free) to try and drum up some business. : Wait until April and you'll get honest advice that doesn't revolve around selling you stuff.
are they going to start helping owners pass a IVA test after all the chassis mods they they have carried out on customers van's ?
the t2d thing is a good introduction for owners ... but not as good as techenders.... with fires and booze )
Techenders sounds great but I do need the basics. Spent some time under the bus today trying to figure out the heating. I will see if I can make it in April.
Looked at some promotional stuff for that T2D boot camp thing at a festival this summer. Thought it looked quite promising untilI saw the price, then had a bit of a chuckle and moved on. I would definitely recommend Tekenders instead.
If you spend £190 at TE I can guarantee you'd have a better time! Camping's about £15-20 for the weekend I think so that leaves at least £170 for two days food and drink. ;D Advice, tutoring etc is 100% free.
in fairness, if it's a fully structured course running to times and with proper lectures/booklets for reference after the event then £190 is fair enough, think what it costs to go on a days first aid course or a fire marshall course etc..... that said techenders is free bar your camping costs and although no dedicated format is laid out as such i.e we don't do 8am change the oil 9.30 fix the heating 10.00 etc etc..... we have never failed to help with any problem and i'd like to think most - if not all go home happy.
