Danny Boyle was on R4 yesterday talking about it. Interesting that he said an attempt at making a film of Porno was made a while back but simply didn't work. Will try n get to see this.

  4. I'm very excited! Hopefully will see it next week if I can persuade the inlaws to look after the kids.

I've yet to see the first one all the way through but I've got it saved from the other night so I'll try that first, I like all the actors which is a start.

  11. I had to sit down and watch it the other night as I wasnt a fan and even though i thought id seen it i realised id only seen parts of it. Dunno why. So in effect watched T1 one night and T2 the night after.

My thoughts on the first film were that it was very much of its time and the style has been copied, no end which makes it a bit dated really. That said i found it engaging and if your the type of person that gets drawn into the story and performance of whats put in front of you then it becomes an emotional experience. I can understand why people wouldnt like it , or why they wouldnt "buy in" to it but I did. I think im quite fortunate to have "discovered" it kind of for the first time in its entirety. T1 is pretty grim really but very engaging. T2, carries on the story and adds to it and it does build on the humourous aspect of the characters, the sense of threat and the tension. It draws on your sympathy and empathy. Buy in or you wont get it!

No spoilers but dont think i could be in the same room as Robert Carlyle.

I should have watched it Thursday night when the wife was away cos she won't entertain it, but I went to the pub instead

  13. Loved the first one and as I was a teenager when it came out the soundtrack (best ever in a film?) opened my ears to a whole new World of music and honestly think it was a large catalyst in the whole sense of cool Britannia and the Brit pop thing that followed. Off to see T2 on Tuesday
