T2 Panel Vans Rare?

Thought I'd ask as you don't seem to see many if any on the roads or for sale these days, looks like most we're converted to campers.

 

I love a panel van but I think you've answered the question urself

Maybe one day they will be worth a bit of money left as a panel van?

 

I would sell the eldest unmarried daughter for an unmolested panel van.
Last couple I've been after have slipped through my fingers at the last minute

it is a niche market ,since no longer it is worth it to transport goods ,if you want a camper you would buy one with windows...They will be more of a collectors item than useful...

 

Try finding a panel van twin slider - I've only ever seen one.......

 

Haha definitely not a disguised question, no holes will be cut in my van that's for sure, I was just wondering if they are a rarity as I've never seen one on the roads apart from mine.

You don't see them as what's the point in driving it
you can't camp in it so apart from the odd trip to b&q they don't get used

 

they get rarer by the day, as do tintops and the other commercial vehicles. There is a nice panel 2slider i've seen which i'd love to get my hands on but the Mrs won't let me have it unless I get rid of one of my others.

LHD too; there is no more of a hardcore way of driving a VW in the UK!!

We camp in ours all the time , it's well cosy , and if you don't have kids do u need the windows?
A nice looking bay panel looks well nice

There's ALREADY a window slider in it! I'll just be restoring the symmetry

Plus i'll be keeping the super rare RHD panel door anyway......lefties are easy to find!
