Its not hapening, so I am going to offer for sale the subaru conversion stuff I bought from here about a year ago,

The conversion is currently all crated up ready to go, pretty much just as it arrived here at the time.

It consists of the following :

Subaru Legacy non turbo 2 litre E20 engine complete with full wire loom, ECU, transponders ( keys) Subaru dash instuments, radiator with twin fans, exhaust manifolds and pretty much all the nick nacks and gubbins that comes from under the bonnet still attached to various hoses etc. I even have a spare sump so you can shorten the sump if required. Its all there .. even the service record from the donor vehicle.

Also come with the conversion bellhousing from RJ Engineering with new clutch, release bearing etc and the RJEs fitting DVD..

In addition to that lot it comes with a 6 rib gearbox, most suitable for the subaru conversion, its almost the complete package but not quite..

What it needs is the RJEs engine mount cross members and various cables some initiative and the need for speed. :)

The reason I am selling is that I have far to much on the go with 5 projects at present and realistically dont have the time to do a conversion... The cash will go back into the restoration of the van it was intended for.

Parts are located in Scotland, ready to go in a single wooden chest easily transported by pallet courier for a max £100 door to door.

Im looking to break even, so £1450 .

will accept paypall as gift, cash on collection or bank transfer.

( why not buy the roof I have for sale and get the whole lot on one trip )

I dont have pictures of the individual items but will get some, so in the meantime here is a pic of the box as it sits in the shed.. :) ( its at the top middle of the pic )

    cheers for now.

  11. I'm not interested in the Scooby bits but have to ask about the (I assume) the flat "4 post" lift.
If my assumption is correct - where did you get it?

    Cheers

Ref the subaru conversion I have had a PM expressing a sale, therfore at this time I will assume the conversion is sold . I will add an update here hopefully later today with confirmation one way or the other.. in the meantime the offer is on hold, remain poised though people .. :)

Ref the ramp that a recent purchase, I bought it from a local Garage that just had new 4 post ramps fitted .. Its not as "mobile" as might be expected, especially in a small space like mine but it is manageable with a bit of brute force and a pinch bar to help it along .. I had been looking at then for a couple of years but couldnt justify the price, then this come along out of the blue at a price it would be daft to refuse... I dont mind buying tools or equipment, stuff like that ramp will never really depreciate when bought 2nd hand . Its bit heavier than the ones on ebay wegihing in at 460kg, It will lift up to 2700 kg to a height of 1.2 mtrs.. You would usually drive over it but it works fine in from the side on a VW bus... pretty sturdy.

Well, thats a strange but wonderfull tale with a twist :) which I think has worked out well. Im absolutely positive its going to a good home and Im pretty sure it will find its way into a van this time around . I wish I had the time to see it through but with the work I have to do on my own van and with other stuff on the back burner waiting its turn the truth is I couldnt see me tackling it for a good couple of years, in reality I really want to shift the other van on and the conversion might put off your average vanner.. just as well to bung an aircooled in it and be done .. :)

    Thanks again .

  17. So, who bought it then? :)
