Was still running hot so...checked breakdown insurance. They agreed to ship my van 350km to a garage that could sort it. The garage confirmed my compression tests, tapped in a new exhaust manifold stud, pumped up the tyres and sent us on our way. Got back no problem. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
I made it across a good chunk of Wyoming, all of Nevada and California in July on 3 cylinders. When we got to San Francisco was, it was more like 2 1/2. There was really no other option but get there or be bleached bones with buzzards circling over. Needless to say the engine was toast. Unknown to us, it was a sweep the floor crate engine.
