Steering wheels

  1. Looking at new steering wheels and fell in love with one from mcj products. They have 2 size options though, 17inch or 15inch diameter. The van is on standard suspension so not lowered and has standard steel wheels. 15" ok for that? Just thinking with us having a bulkhead behind the seats theres only so far back they can go and I need belly room!!!

  2. I would go for the 17 - makes it much easier parking unless you do weight lifting

  3. Be aware that with unservoed steering, a smaller wheel will make the steering heavier. VW put on a whopping great wheel for a reason. What shape are your biceps in ;)?

17” or a litesteer conversion kit

  7. I have the mcj 17" wheel and can still be a little heavy when going slow....
How quick do you want it.......I ordered mine in time for my birthday prezzie in September and I got it as an extra Xmas prezzie instead......
    Yes it took ages.

  9. I got mine from a shop on ebay, I can't honestly remember who but I know they were up in Shrewsbury as I had to send the 15" one back and swap for a 17" one! [IMG]

They do good discounts at shows if you have cash but, as others have said you can get equally good for less money!

Standard size is easier to steer with your elbows while you skin up, so I read somewhere once... not sure what that means...

    Peeling bananas,perhaps?
