Got a bit over excited cleaning our steering wheel with a scouring pad (seemed like a good idea at the time!) and now it turns our hands black every time we go near it. Any way of fixing this? It's almost like it needs re-sealing but no idea what (if anything) would do it. Any ideas welcome! It's an original wheel in a 1975 bus.

That happened to me. But in a week or two it seemed to sort itself out and now its stopped. You cd try just giving it time...?

My bay was terrible for this, it's basically the top coat of the plastic breaking down I reckon, I used to clean mine all the time but it was terrible in the summer.
Bit of body filler..couple of coats of primer and a coat or two of pastel white!.. good as new .. Time will tell if it stands up to it...
Can anyone please tell me what the air intake thing on the drivers side window is actually called??? It's driving me crazy!!!
