Steel wheels

While thinking about suspension set ups my mine start on wonder about wheels


In my minds eye is can see my bus running on some steels painted in contrasting colour to bus but they need to be larger the the standard 14inch rims


I'm sure the old forum had some posts about which other wheels fitted


Does anyone know of ant other make steelies which will fit either 15 of 16 inch?

 

mercedes steel wheels should fit , not sure if you'll need spigot rings though . you should be able to get them in any size you like

]my rear wheels are rerimed stock VW steels measuring 8x15

will do this for you, they cut the centre out of a stock wheels and mount it on a new rim, means you can run stock hub caps

Just out curiosity what was the price of having your rears done?

 

i bought the rears second hand already done but need something similar for the front, when i asked it was about £80 each but painting/powder coating was extra

 

merc vito wheels are cool 8)

 

the big question is do you want hub caps ?

all the modern steel wheels don't have the lugs to clip them onto

 

i also wanted hub caps and the re-riming of the standard wheels was the only thing i could come up with

i did try the hub cap clips from early VW models but the hub caps just didn't sit right
