WANTED Stabiliser bits and nose cone rubber for gearbox

Discussion in 'Late Bay Parts Classifieds' started by chancee, Nov 27, 2013.

  1. Hi me again this is going to break me eek all for a late bay

I now have been told I need ... Wait for it :)
For a 2.0 litre late bay
Good - Both Stabiliser ends for the engine stabiliser bar where it bolts up to the chassis each side of the engine. It's the type with the rubber mounts inside where it bolts to the chassis
Plus one of the mounts on the bar has gone and I couldn't see that on Vw heritages site so need a good one of those to.
Does anybody know if you can buy a gearbox nose cone mount for a late bay I couldn't see that either
    Cheers guys

  2. So basically you need an engine mounting/support bar? I've got a good t25 cu one going ;)
You should ring vwheritage or jk and ask them about the mounts, other than that someone on here must have an engine support bar? Just wait a lil longer, sure they'll be here soon :)

  3. Which one of these parts is it fro the front? Vwheritage :) image.jpg

  4. Are these the droids, I mean parts image.jpg you're looking for...... Sorry hehe

  5. Hi Lardy in the top diagram it's number 11 I need. the bar is really sloppy in the rubber bit.
In the second picture it's the pieces under number 6 that the bolt goes through i need the left and right
I have a t25 one but apparently I need a 2.0 litre bay one...? I have a bay bar but not the right end mount pieces
The bay ones I have been told have rubber mounts inside the brackets?? Anybody have a pic of what I'm looking for.?
    Cheers elizabeth

  6. I am sure I have a decent rubber mount (part 11)

5 collect or a tenner posted

  7. I think you'll find you need a 2 ltr rear engine stabiliser bar and chassis mounting brackets not a 1600 one. The difference is - 1600 bar has rubber type mounts and the 2 ltr has no rubbers and bolts straight up to the chassis hangers. By the sound of it your van was a 1600 and you are converting it to a type 4

  8. Hi I have a 1975 vehicle originally fitted with a 2litre. I have acquired a bay 2litre bar but no ends bolted on it. does anybody have a pic of what I need or even better spares they don't want. I have t25 2litre bar and end brackets to go with it but i am swapping back to the bay set up. are the end brackets the same on a t25 to the bay ones
    Cheers Elizabeth

  9. Don't wanna be awkward but couldn't you just buy them new? At least you know thy are knew and won't need replacing? Costs a difficult thing when you add it up but some things just aren't worth scrimping on? Just saying :)

  10. As with most of us money is real tight. the mounts them selves are 34 each not including rubber bits would love to buy new just thought someone might have some second hand brackets doing nothing :(
