I looked up the word onanist and discovered this comedy gem:

But the reply is even funnier:
This is actually a forged notice, confirmed by the University when a student submitted a Freedom Of Information (FOI) request. Here is an extract from the reply he received:

The notice to which you refer is not an official university notice. It was a student prank, and regrettably not even an original prank. The notice appears to be a copycat issue of a similar text which appeared recently at Durham and Lancaster universities and a number of universities in the States. A quick check on Google should give you more information about these incidents should you require it.

A strong clue that the notice is fake is the line “Please go home and masturbate if you are bored.” As a matter of policy, the University would never encourage students to go home during term time.

Madley is a self publicating tit, but he ends the prog pretty well in favour of the squatters from what I hear which in my view can only be a good thing. There are so many properties in the uk that have been empty for 10+ years, the owners possibly even dead and nobody has a clue, seems mad that homeless people shouldn't be positively encouraged to squat.

It's now illegal to squat privately owned properties, but this is a fudge as it rarely happens anyway.

Yes, I used to squat in London in the 80's. It was positively encouraged then. We squatted housing association houses that weren't fit for habitation. They didn't have the budget to sort them. We stopped the rot. The neighbours were always happy to see us move in - who wants to live next to an empty property with vandals setting it on fire/crack house/thieves ripping it to pieces.

  12. yip, done that, proper aranged squatting is a positive,>>> in my own squatting years , there were house rules e.g. no mingeing drunk/drugged up carry ons, no unknown pals /visitors /no rudeness to neighbours and everyone chipped in a £5 a week for essentials (to include cleaning products and basic gardening gear, house occupied had to be completely empty and have been so for a long time, keep it clean/respectful/quiet and it can be a not as bad as it sounds/made out to be, life experience.

Hmm - we weren't quite that good, we nicked the electric and the £5 aweek was for essential drugs...
Ahh to be young and care-free ;D
