springplates

  1. i,m returning to standard ride height, just wondering when re-fitting springplates which way do you turn them to go up, may be a daft question in my mind i can see that either way could, but only one does ,any advice appreciated

  2. You turn them down (once they're off the endstops). This puts more preload on the rear torsion bars when you jack them into the normal position, so the back ends up higher.

  3. ^^WHS. Make sure it's all marked up before you pull things apart. In particular you don't want to pull the torsion bars out of the inner splines unless you can get them back in as before.

This assumes it's currently level both sides. If not this is a good time to adjust inners and outers to lose that sag caused by the weight of the cabinets.

  4. Indeed. If you're lopsided, or sagging, best to go through the "official" procedure with a bubble protractor, so the fully-flopped spring plates are at about 21 degrees to the horizontal frame members. This'll bring you nicely back to the stock right height.

  5. thanks a lot everyone , i dont seem to have any other problems ,just want to go higher as down low is just to harsh for me, maybe i,m just gettin old cheers everyone
