Spring Camp - Yorkshire Dales Part Deux - 5-7 April 2013

I spoke to the site today, making a random query. She said roads are all passable, site is open, but stick to the lower routes...I don't think it's put me off just yet - but i'll have a spare can'o'gas with me for the propex!

 

im def still going... going to have to get some thermals me thinks... x paul however may change his mind haha x

 

That's the problem, the only lower route in is from the north, 90% of us are coming from the south and both routes go over a mountain it's a stunning drive but I reckon they'll both be blocked

 

We are going to make a call middle of next week. I'm guessing thawing snow is going to make it a bit muddy?

 

Is there room to land a light aircraft on the site?

 

This is the way I went the last two times I've been , take a virtual drive up its stunning but god knows what it's like now, have a spin round every now and then to see the veiws

I was told the roads into Dent were kept quite clear by those that clear them...

 

feel for you all, this weather is pee'ing me right off too, going away fri morn myself and the van's still on ramps and untested....... just can't get on it, am planning a early assault friday morning whatever the weather....... as woody says weather looks crap for the next fortnight.

I run my new engine in with a 5 hour drive that took me over those horrid hills in the lakes wrynose pass and hard Knott ... Had no trouble with mine hehe

 

Yep it's looking a bit warmer for next week, maybe 10c That'll feel positively balmy after this week

 

aww really hope the sun comes out when i imagined spring camp i imagined there to be a bit of sunshine getting us in the mood for summer x

 

Been really bright and sunny here today and it even hit 6 deg c this afternoon

 

whoop whoop we're guna be sun bathing by next week
