We had a late visit to Rockingham today to see a mate race his new Cerbera, it was his first race in the new car and it is awesome... No pics I'm afraid but I did spot this early in the competitors paddock! Robo...
Was out running this evening and took a bit of a detour (ok, it was a short-cut. shut up) and came across a lovely little find. A smashing looking '67 beetle; A very tidy '76 late bay with a prototype-styley front; A slightly rusty beetle and two other vans (looks like a split & a bay) under JK covers; not to mention a couple of T4/5s (one not pictured, dunno if they are 4s or 5s and don't honestly care) Cheered me up no end cuz the run was going pants. Only wish I had had a latebay card to stick through the door.
Spotted this bay enjoying a holiday way up on The Shetland Islands, didn't get a chance to pop round a say hi as unfortunately I was there working.
Mrs Robo spotted this really nice westy near our house, oh look that's me driving our bus home after being seperated for nearly six weeks! My big smile has returned its funny how that happens when you drive these buses Happy days...
How come i always see them when i'm working & can't take pictures?? Well last Saturday i was at the bank getting some fuel money & spotted this a cross the parking lot,it had broke down the night before & they were trying to start it,come to find out the father of the owner had installed the battery backwards :- we flipped the battery around & jump started it! it belong to a young guy around 20 or so,i told him about this crazy place he seems real surprised on how cool you guys were after he visited the OTHER site(samba) he has owned it for 2 1/2yrs & just got it up & running ) 1970...
Spotted this yummy engine whilst wondering along the front in Hunstanton. But where was the rest of the bug or bus! It would have looked nicer in my bus me thinks...
