You’d love it. It’s a huge sandy beach in North Wales that you can drive on. When the kids were young I had a Granada as a family car and we would mess about doing donuts and handbrake turns on a quiet bit of the beach. They still talk about it today. I was there this summer but I confined myself to a walk and a 99 - gettin old Stirlingmoz
Agreed , it's a fab place. Been a few times and it's alus different each time , managed to blag a go on a sand yatch last time Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
black rock is great. i used to sell ice cream as a summer job whilst a student, lived up in north wales just up the road from black rock.. it was a frequent location for a blast in the car with mates. we used to slide the car around to draw a massive cock on the sand. oh how we laughed..
back in the early 70's we lived in South Harting and went many weekends to West Wittering in the Morris Traveller, kids loved the sandy beach. I seem to remember the car park was grass in those days. Happy times.
and we played Stool Ball at West Wittering and many other clubs in the area. interesting game, sort of cross between cricket and rounders, soft ball bowled under arm at a wooden square on a post. bash the ball with the round wooden bat and do runs as in cricket.
My wife used to live in Chichester, and we often went down to the Witterings. Nice Sunday roast in the Lamb (I think) somewhere on the road back to Chichester, or fish and chips and a pint at Dell Quay. That was the early 90s, so it might have changed. The plan is to retire to that neck of the woods.
We had fish and chips on the beach, hard to believe it’s nearly November They are building a new cafe at the moment, looking good for next summer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
