Splash shield

    I’m just trying to fit splash shield
    It is the same as Bentleys but appears to be wrong way round image.jpg

    Have you tried it other way round ?

    Mine looks like this.. 10 years on ...

    It has a lip that flares away from the disc, not over it.

  4. Yes but there is a 6mm lip on it so it doesn’t fit flush with the spindle and would deform if you tightened the bolts
     
  5. Looks similar to mine but usually the lip on the outside helps protect the disc
    It all fits ok so I’ll put in the seal and bolt it up
     
  6. Just had a fondle under my bus and yes the lip does go on the outside.

  11. Do you mean that the lip doesn’t cover the disc?
     
  12. It doesn’t. It can’t.

    The lip faces toward the centre of the bus.
     
  13. D'oh!! Just realised these are discs, not drums, so pls ignore my deleted post - if you saw it in the first place!

    Know what you mean ...the picture in Bentleys does give the impression it should be fitted with lip covering disc from the shadowing on diagram .
